Synaptrauma® Medical Glue Gun

The Synaptrauma® is a Medical Glue Gun developed by Praesidium Industries for healthcare specialists on the field of battle. The glue is relased with an intuitive pressure mechanism and solidifies upon contact with air. Once the wound is fully healed the non-toxic material will dissolve within the body.

This concept was made as part of my Portfolio course at the Game Assembly. Designed to be in a first-person game, this prop will serve as a healing device to aid wounded team members. After a period of research, sketching and iterating on the functions and mechanisms within the glue gun, I blocked it out in Maya and refined it in Zbrush. The concept was then rendered in Keyshot and finalized with paintover in Photoshop.
